LX-171 is a 5.5 mil double coated "gold tissue tape" with a permanent acrylic
adhesive. The acrylic adhesive gives permanent bonding for applications such as
nameplates to trophies and plaques. The adhesive offers a good combination of
peel, tack and shear properties with resistance to UV light, humidity, heat,
mild plasticizers and many solvents. Combination of gold lightweight basis
release liner and thin tissue carrier makes this product easy to hand tear. Note
that release liner color varies from a "gold" yellow to a reddish yellow color
from lot to lot.
Note: Be sure surface areas are free from contamination before applying LX-171.
Firm pressure is recommended to obtain good adhesive to surface contact.
